Happy Anniversary....

to my wonderful hubby and I!
It's crazy to think that I have been a married woman (sometimes I feel more like a girl than a woman!) for 4 years now and have been with my hubby for 5 years! To be honest, my husband is a one-of-a-kind guy. He really is! I'm sure many people say that about their spouse and rightfully so, but for real...he is the best!

He is so kind and patient with me and more importantly, he leads me in my walk with Jesus. We have grown so much over the past 5 years and marriage has changed us in the best ways possible. I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for us for the many years to come.

In the past four years we have
* lived in two different states
*had a cat (who sadly passed unexpectedly after we got him)
*currently own a dog
*celebrated new careers
*and now we have 2 beautiful daughters...

I am confident that the Lord has many plans for us in the future and we are thankful for the time we have together now and the time we get to look forward to down the road as a family.

Happy 4th anniversary to my wonderful husband!!

Oh...and when he came home from work, he brought me....

a beautiful bouquet of white roses...

a very sweet card with a personal note inside...

And of course, what every girl wants...a delicious peanut butter chocolate cake from Coldstone! Yum yum!! :)
My baby knows what I like!

Creating Flow in Our Home

I admit I am not a professional decorator by any means...but  I do love to decorate our home and one of the ways I try to do that is by creating flow between each room.

It has been a bit difficult creating this flow between each room because I have used different paint colors throughout our home--on our walls and on furniture which can be a bit tricky to get the right look.

But so far, here is how our home is shaping up and I think I'm going down the right path in decorating it...hopefully. :)

So what I've learned is that if you use similar fabrics, paint colors that work well together, and accessorize, your house should flow from room to room.

Sometimes I feel like I've got that idea down but other times it feels like I need to change something up to better create flow.
Eh, it is always a process around here. ;)

How do you create flow in your home?

An Inspiring Dining Room

So I am in the process of decorating and accessorizing our dining room...and that process will take a little while to complete.
Recently, I stumbled upon a blog called Southern Hospitality and found her dining room to be gorgeous and inspiring!
Just take a look and you will see why I love her room!

Diningroom overall

In the future, hopefully not too far from now, I want to install some board and batten and hang family pictures from it. I think it can look fabulous in our dining room and I can't wait to start!

I'm looking forward to more upcoming projects and I hope you will stay tuned.
