Hi friends!!
I wanted to give you an update on sweet little Ella Joy.
As you may have read before, Ella Joy is a 4 year old battling cancer. She will be required to be on chemotherapy for about the next 2 to 2 1/2 years of her life. She has non-Hodgkins lymphoma but is a fighter.
I ran across this family's story through a friend from high school and have been praying for them ever since I heard about their news.
Recently, Anne Won, Ella's mom, updated her blog post and said that Ella Joy's cancer results came back from her bone marrow and amazingly did not spread there!! This was wonderful news for the family because they were told a few weeks ago that a report came back and suggested the cancer had spread to Ella's bone marrow. Praise God she was retested to find out that it did not spread! Wow!
Talk about an amazing answer to prayer. :)
I just wanted to share that awesome news with you guys and I want to thank you if you have been praying for this family and this sweet little girl.
It's so uplifting and encouraging to hear about what God is doing in the lives of others and to hear about his healing powers. And how great it is that He chose to love us and lavish his eternal gifts upon us!
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.
Psalm 147:5

Ella Joy Won
I wasn't sure what to title my post for today and I'm not sure why.
But as my title reads, Ella Joy Won, that is what this post is about.
A little girl named Ella Joy who is battling stage 4 cancer.
If you have been reading some of my posts recently, you may remember this one about Ella Joy.
I found out about the Won family after a friend posted about their story on Facebook.
My heart really goes out to this family even though I have never met them before.
I have to admit that I haven't been too faithful in praying for Ella Joy daily, but I am going to make the effort to now.
If you have a minute, you can read about the post that was shared yesterday on Anne Won's blog (who is Ella Joy mother).
It was hard for me to get through the whole post in one reading and I had to step away for a little bit before reading the rest of the post...just a heads up for anyone who does read the post today.
I can't even imagine what it would be like to be in their shoes right now and that isn't something that I want to imagine, to be honest.
I am encouraged by this family and their faithfulness to the Lord- especially this little girl and her faith...which may be why I was drawn to them and their story in the first place.
but Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:14
This family needs prayer and if you have a moment in your day, please remember this family and lift them up in prayer.
God is faithful:
God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
I Corinthians 1:9
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the
world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the
world.”
John 16:33
Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the
heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm!
Nothing is too hard for you.
Jeremiah 32:17
The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are
trustworthy; they are established forever and ever, to be performed with
faithfulness and uprightness. He sent redemption to his people; he has
commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name!
Psalm 111:7-9
I have a few DIY projects complete, but just couldn't post about those
today...I really wanted to share more of this family's story.
I do believe the Won family has great faith and trust in the Lord and they are asking for prayer for Ella Joy- for healing in her body from cancer and for strength.
Will you lift up this family to Him?
Thank you!

Prayers for a Sweet Little Girl
Recently, a high school friend of mine posted a story on Facebook and asked for prayers for a sweet little girl named Ella Joy who was diagnosed with cancer. The cancer has spread throughout this little girls body and into her bone marrow.
I do not know this little girl or her family, but every time I read the posts about this family's journey I cry....EVERY SINGLE TIME!! It's especially hard seeing pictures of this little girl and hearing about the suffering her and her family are going through.
This family has such faith in God and this is really encouraging to me. As a mom to 2 beautiful young girls, I realize more and more how important my time with them truly is. I want them to know God's never-ending love for them and am so grateful for the time I do have with them.... the time that God has given me to spend with them, because we don't know what each day can and will bring so embrace and enjoy your children....and teach them the Lord's love!
This is the post to the blog about this family and if you can and have some time, would you take a few minutes to read about this family's story and please pray for them! Even if we do not know this family personally, I do believe there is power in prayer!
“The Lord is my strength and my song: he has become my salvation.
Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous. The
Lord’s right hand has done mighty things! I will not die but live, and
will proclaim what the Lord has done. The Lord has chastened me
severely, but he has not given me over to death.” Psalms 118:14-18
Thank you for taking the time to read this and have a blessed weekend ahead!
