Working with Wood Trim

Hey there...sorry for the silence over here, but we are in the late stages of selling and will be moving soon...we hope!!

The house we put an offer on has lots of great character that we have been even has 2 staircases. It sounds a bit more luxurious than it is, but it's a great house where we can raise our girls...and we plan on having a larger family so there will be plenty of room!

One of the things I noticed about the home when we first walked in was all of the wood trim. It is everywhere. It is actually quite beautiful and I would keep it that way, except the upstairs trim had already been painted white and some of the downstairs has been it's a bit mismatched. It seems that we will be painting lots of trim after we move...but in the meantime, I wanted to share some pictures of some beautiful homes that have wood trim that has NOT been painted.

It seems that wood trim works best with older homes. I still think we will be painting over the wood trim (which will be a bit sad) but if we don't, then we would have multiple trim colors throughout the home and that might look a bit strange.
We will see what happens. :)

Hoping to have some news about the move soon...but in the meantime, I will be posting some more inspirational photos. There are some great home designs out there and it's always fun browsing for inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by and happy Monday everyone!
