Gold Trim Accents

Ever since I began reading blogs, I found myself wanting to add trim to our dining room bench because I would see it on other blogs and thought it looked good. I also think it makes a bench that is covered in fabric look finished.

That means I went to JoAnn's with my youngest a few weeks back and and bought some gold trim to accent our bench. It was on sale for $.50 a yard so I bought 3 yards. I didn't need all 3 yards but came close to using it all up...good thing I bought 3 yards instead of 2! :)

Here is what our bench looked like before:

I used hot glue to keep the trim on the fabric and that's it!

Because the fabric is plain by itself, I figured a little embellishment wouldn't hurt!
